We have to become totally confident in who we are and not care about what others think. That's a very scary thing to embark upon, but well worth it when you do it.

David, yes, I too have pondered that about aspiring to become better. When we are working on bettering ourselves it will often feel fake at first, but that does not mean that we should not keep pushing through until it becomes who we are. We just have to be sure we are doing it for the right reasons to begin with. Excellent observation!

I love the affirmation!!! Thanks for sharing it. If we want to really live we have to see each present moment as a gift and vow to do the very best with this gift. All the moments do add up! They are what make up our life.Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05399079293246180836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3250827415333996744.post-20071185637253445572008-03-28T10:25:00.000-05:002008-03-28T10:25:00.000-05:00Jennifer,Excellent post! But all we can truly be is who we are today.

That doesn't mean that we cannot aspire to learn and grow and to become better people.

I have the following affirmation posted on my wall:

"Now is mine.
I can do what I want with it.
I own it, for better or worse.
What I do now, in this present moment, is what makes up my life.
My whole life is only a succession of nows.
I will take this moment and do something with it.
What I do with each now will make me or break me.

DavidAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3250827415333996744.post-64412114373437506202008-03-28T07:31:00.000-05:002008-03-28T07:31:00.000-05:00Jennifer,I had to ponder for a moment after readin...Jennifer,

I had to ponder for a moment after reading your article. It's amazing revelation. I believe that when we try to act fake, it is out of fear of loosing self esteem. This happens to people who live their lives to other's perception of their own self image. I also have made commitment, after reading this article, to remain conscious about my thoughts and living life that I love with utmost honesty and integrity.Shilpanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14121181249175722968noreply@blogger.com
